Words from the Editor

Every day we come to school to learn, not only to learn things about different subjects, but also to learn how to lead our lives with love, hope, joy and thanksgiving – the governing Christian principles of our school.

With the support of everyone at Good Hope and all the other people in our lives, we are all given an opportunity to embark on a journey of self-discovery, a journey that allows us to recognize our own strengths and weaknesses and one that enables us to develop our potentials in so many different areas. It’s a process of trial and error, but after we have succeeded, it enables us to fully contribute to the society around us. This echoes our school theme this year – “Let our light shine and make a difference”.

We, the Anchor Committee, believe that we can record these ‘trial and error’ moments when Good Hopers “shine and make a difference”. We can all learn from each other, from others’ successes and failures, from others’ triumphs and disappointments and we can understand that attempting to do things is what makes us shine, not whether we succeed first time or not.

Therefore, we are proud to present to you the ‘Anchor Express’. The Anchor Express is an online platform created for every one of you by the Anchor Committee. It will update you on all the latest news about school events, community interactions and individual achievements. It will contain peoples’ opinions and will record peoples’ great efforts in trying improve this world of ours.

Managing this website won’t be an easy task, but I believe that with the support of our teachers and the cooperation of our team members, we will have the courage and ability to overcome any obstacles that may lie ahead of us.

Should you have any comments or suggestions for the Anchor Express, please feel free to let us know. We would be delighted to hear from you!

Please enjoy.
