Form7 Farewell Ceremony and Chinese New Year Celebration

Artemis Tang F.4F

On this day, the 20th of January, all of us were filled with joy, happiness, and a tinge of sadness and fear, as we gathered to celebrate Chinese New Year, and said farewell to our F.7 schoolmates.

After the mass, the F.7 big sisters played the videos of their classes, while they sang and danced some farewell songs. The class representatives expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the teachers, on behalf of all of their classmates. Their moving words touched many of us, and tears were shed as we listened, while we wished the best of luck to all of the last F.7 students of Good Hope, as they meet the challenges of exams and the future ahead.

As the songs faded, the six house captains presented us with a hilarious video, featuring some of our teachers. It was time for the Chinese New Year celebration. We quickly recovered from our tears and laughed as we enjoyed the performances of the house captains and teachers. The excitement in the hall peaked as they invited some students to play a guessing game of traditional Chinese New Year songs. Soon, we were all laughing and celebrating the beginning of a new year of the Dragon.

The celebration ended with a loud applause. With happiness in the air, we once again said goodbyes to our F.7 sisters, hoping they will bring with them the Good Hope spirit, and will let their light shine in the coming future.
