Purpose:
- to help students develop empathy, social awareness and respect for different groups in society, as well as to help them internalize the core values and attitudes (e.g. respect and caring for others, social responsibility) through Moral and Civic Education;
- to ensure that students will treasure everything that they have;
- to unleash students’ potentials in different aspects and enrich their life experiences.
Programmes:
1. Class-based Services
F.1
- Training and preparation to be held.
- An elderly home visit to be conducted in Month of Elderly (November) 2011
F.2
- Students are going to Practice the walking exercise with elderly
- Training workshop organized by physiotherapist
- 2 days of class-based services will be held on April 2012
F.3
- Students are going to have a 1-day music exchange program with elderly
- Preparation workshop is to be held in February 2012.
- Day camp with elderly
: the morning section includes ice-breaking game, musical sharing etc.
: performance is to be held in the afternoon.
F.4
- F.4 student will be the facilitator of activities to serve the needy (children of low-income/ newly migrated families)
- Two mass talks (organized by interested Agency) are to be held in October 2011
- All Form Four Students are going to prepare two half-day activities on March and during Easter holiday.
- Evaluation section will be held on May 2012
F.5
- Students are to organize a 10-hour Class-based service within the year
2. Others
Students may join different activities (e.g. flag selling day, charity sales) organized by different clubs, e.g. Social Services Club, Good Hope Angel Scheme throughout the year.
