Good Hope Primary School cum Kindergarten (Primary Section)
Application Procedure for Admission to Primary Two to Primary Five
(For 2020-2021 School Year)

Thank you for your interest in Good Hope Primary School cum Kindergarten (Primary Section). Admission to our Primary 2 to Primary 5 classes for the school year of 2020 – 2021 is now open for application. Please follow the procedure below if you wish to apply for a place for your daughter.
   
1. Fill out the Online Application Form.
   
2. Submit the completed Application Form, as follows:
  - Print out the completed form and affix a recent PHOTOGRAPH of the Applicant in school uniform.
  - - Return the completed form, together with the required documents, to the school BY POST on or before Wednesday, 24 June 2020. Address of the school: 383 Jat’s Incline, Kowloon. (Please state “Application for Primary Two to Primary Five” on the envelope.).
  - Do NOT submit the Application Form and the required documents IN PERSON.
  - Deadline for submission: Wednesday, 24 June 2020.
  Documents Required:
  - A copy of the Applicant’s Birth Certificate;
  - A copy of the Baptismal Certificate (for Roman Catholic applicants only);
  - A copy of the Applicant’s report cards in the most recent school year;
  - Copies of certificates and awards, if any, listed in the Application Form (a maximum of 5 only);
  - Records of attendance for extra-curricular activities, if any (a maximum of 5 only); and
  - A stamped self-addressed envelope (9 inches x 4 inches) with a $2 postage stamp.
  Important:
  - We do NOT accept any portfolio of the Applicant or reference letters of any kind.
  - Do NOT submit any form or document in file folders.
   
3 Applicants will be asked to sit for a written assessment, as follows:
 
Date: Wednesday, 15 July 2020.
Time: 1:30p.m. to 4:30p.m.
Remarks: - (1) No make-up assessment will be arranged for absentees.
  - (2) Request to reschedule the assessment for the Applicant will NOT be entertained.
  - (3) If typhoon signal no. 8 or a Rainstorm Warning (Red or Black) is in force before 12:00n.n., the examination will be postponed to Thursday, 16 July 2020 (1:30p.m. to 4:30p.m.).
   
4. The school will send a letter of confirmation by post to the Applicant’s address given in her Application Form on or before Wednesday, 8 July 2020. If you do not receive the letter, you should call us at 2327 5294.
   
5. An application fee of $100 will be collected from the Applicant on the day of the Admission Examination. The application fee is not refundable.
   
6. Information provided in the Application Form and the required documents will be used merely for processing of the application. All personal data of the Applicant will be destroyed at the earliest opportunity after the admission exercise.
